The Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville, NC was built by E.W. Grove in the late 1920s as a predecessor to the shopping malls of today. This image was made a Christmas time and was stylized to give it a hand-drawn appearance.

This is the front porch of the Thomas Wolfe House in Asheville, NC. Dubbed "Old Kentucky Home" by his mother, it operated as a boarding house during his childhood. It was the setting for his first novel Look Homeward, Angel.
